ok, so last night, my friend wanted me to f**k around down the road from my house, and i went through a 4 inch puddle, ive went thru it before, but i swerved left and right to try to make it fishtale, i never had done that before .... after i did it, my truck starting making a quiet thump type noise, but when i step on the brake, it gets worse, and i went through the puddle with my left front tire, and thats where the noise is coming from .. so my question is, IF ANYBODY knows what this problem could be, please let me know, my friend and i think its either something with the brake pad, the wheel rim got bent, and i personally think it might be the caliper clipping the rim, so can anybody help me out please ?! thank you btw, by a thumping noise i mean at a certain spot on the wheel itll thump on the rim .. or somewhere .... and when i step on the brakes, it gets worse ..
thank you all for your help, i took off the tire, the rotar plate was cracked above the bolts .... so im going tomorow to pick up a new one .. thanks all for your advice

you need to get that side up in the air and rotate it slowly with the engine off and look and listen to where the thump is coming from, if its loud, then you should be able to see and hear it when you rotate the wheel, or put the wheel on the back and put the back up front, if you have drum brakes in the rear, there is more clearence than with the disc in front, see if this solves the problem, but do not wait, do it as soon as possible, you do not want the rim breaking off or falling off the truck because you let it go .

Jack the wheel up and turn it by hand see if it's hitting something if it is put your spare on,if not take it off and make a further visual inspection

Pick an answer dammit!!!

Sounds like you answered your own question, you have a crack brake rotor, replace it and the brake pads also to ensure that you will not get any pull to one side when you try to stop the Sierra.
