Well. its been acting funny. Its a 4.3 Vortec. The Other day i started it and it just died right out in less than a minute. NOW.. it starts right up. idles great at first. when the engine gets warm it idles rough and starts to sputter around 4000 rpms. After it warm up it smells like gas and exhaust. i mean it smells comparable to an ATV. no smoke or anything from the exhaust, but it is very moist fumes and within 15 minutes the ground gets wet from my exhaust. Ive asked a few people. Ive changed the sparkplugs, wires, ignition coil, ignition module, and the CPI, but its been reprogrammed. The engine only has 120,000 on it and would hate to junk it just because it dont run right. i keep up with the oil and fuel filters. ive had the filter in for about 6 months now. PLZ HELP!!!!

Could be a bad fuel injector. How long have you owned the truck?

Sounds like you have a bad fuel pressure regulator, Here is a link toy our upper platinum intake where your fuel injectors are. You can remove the #11 which is the, INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE and see if there is any fuel pooling in your upper intake. The other way you can check is to place a fuel pressure gauge on your shredder valve #30 and turn your ignition key to the run position "engine not running". You should get 62-65 PSI reading and then turn the key off, if the pressure drops fast, then you have a leak and your going to have to replace the fuel pressure regulator which is locked on your injection system #23.

Good luck and keep us posted. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=7018&capuid=1&majorgroup=03&grouptype=B
