Hello,

My 94 Jimmy has been running exceptionally well until recently. The fuel pump died about 2 weeks ago and I had it replaced by a good shop. (normally, I would have done it myself, but it was cold and snowy)

Anyway, the replacement pump worked great. Then about a week later, the truck started losing power on the highway. Then it got progressively worse. Now, it hesitates under acceleration and wants to die out. If I go real easy on the pedal, I can limp home. If the truck dies, I can turn it off, and restart right away. It starts just fine....then runs good enough to get me home (limping and coughing)

So...I suspected a clogged fuel filter from the pump replacement event...replaced it....no change.

Then I thought EGR, since it had a tendency to stick. Replaced it....no change.

Then I thought the throttle body might be gunked up. Cleaned it thoroughly with carb cleaner....no change.

Then I noticed while cleaning the throttle body, that I could rev the engine by hand and it had plenty of power...no sputtering..nothing. So I thought maybe the throttle positioning sensor might be intermittent. Replaced it....no change.

Well, I'm running out of money and ideas. I can't find the MAF sensor, but I thought that I would clean it if I could find it. Auto Parts websites don't seem to carry it, so I'm thinking that a 94 Jimmy doesn't have a MAF sensor.

If anyone has any ideas...I'm starving for some. It's a great truck...but as is...I can't depend on it.

Thanks much.
