94 k1500 SLE Suburban belt?

Recently my Burb is making a whining noise that appears to be coming from the air conditioner area under the hood. I was wondering could it be the compressor beginning to lock up slowing the belt down?

I would change the belt first to see if its that....might also be the tensioner. While the belt is off, give the compressor and alternator a spin to see if you can hear any bearing noise

I wound up taking the compressor off and installing an a/c pulley. She is so quiet i can't hear her running again! Took me 4 hours because I was afraid i would mess it up...lol
I had fun and learned something.
