idles great? changed cap, rotor, plugs, wires and fuel filter. runs great in park and nuetral. put it in gear and wants to die.
 
change your transmission filter and put new trans fluid in, sounds like its plugged
 
there,s a sensor that operates the lock-up converter, maybe it,s bad. i changed 1 in a grand-am once.
