Have been having lifter noise from my 5.0 even when warmed up and oil changed . I have tried a couple of oil additives to free up sticky lifters but has made no difference. I have been told by a local mechanic that the problem could be a ' flat cam' from wear and that was common with mid 90's 5.0 V8s and may need a new cam and lifters. Has anyone heard of this problem?
