Ok heres my story...

Ive owned my truck for 9 years now and its been great for 7. So ive had tonns of work done and its still giving me troubles. Newest issue is when i go to start it itl die pretty much instantly. Try again itl last a little longer but die. Its not till I start and press the gas a bunch and keep it reving that itl stay alive. Sometimes itl even die at random but 90% of the time most of the problems are at initial start up ( when its cold ) and Its only started doing this since its been cold.

Now Ive gotten many sensors replaces.. 02, crankshaft and another That i cannot remember. Ive had a tune up replaced all spark plugs wires distributor cap fuel filter etc etc..

I love my truck to death and it kills me that everything i do i cannot find a solution... and garages are bleeding me dry of money and patients .. breaking down sucks and its becoming more of an issue. Ive put about 6 grand into her in the past two years and i just want it to run good without having to do anything for at least 6 months...........

Anyways I just put a new alternator in tonight in hopes it just wasnt holding a charge long enough .. because i did notice that my amp meter in the dash was constantly moving when i had my lights , stereo, blinker going... and i did see it die when multiple things were using.. not to mention i had a loud whine out of it so i decided to swap it.. the noise went away and the gauge had stop moving back and forth so much but the problem still persists.

ANY help would be so appreciated... Im at a loss for words and I do NOT want to give my sierra up.. I love this truck i think the vortec engine was the best built.. PLEASE if you have any advice to my issues youd be doing a great service letting me know!

Also I just want to add that the fuel filter was replace with the tune up but is it possible since it was at least 10+ years since a tune up was done that possibly more "guck" was loosend and possibly claugged the new fuel filter?

Sorry for the rant Ive just been getting really sick of the non stop issues and I just want my Sierra back to good condition :(

Thanks again!

sorry it was the throttle position sensor I had also replaced..

And sometimes when Im driving all the sudden my speed drops and rpms .. then i let go of gas and then hit the gas and it goes right back up to where it was..
