looking for a little insight, My 97 dually with 7.4 125k always ran solid. I started having problems with hot starting did a fuel pressure check and found out the injectors where bleeding down. bought rebuilt injectors from ebay (maybe my first mistake) put them in no more leak down. started truck and now missfiring, running on maybe 6 cylinders. Did a compression check 130-140 all cylinders, my tester always reads low so may be higher. changed plugs no different. spark seems good. changed cap rotor and wires about a year and a 1/2, ago truck mostly sits, used to tow my boat twice a year. I know they had distributor and cap problems why I replaced them last time. I am going to pick up a code reader.
i will most likely have to pull the intake back off and check the injectors and wiring again. just fishing for ideas before I tear into it again. dose the ecm go bad. how do you check the pulse to the injectors. with the fuel rail under pressure can i apply 12 volts to the injectors to see if they work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
