Just put a new batt and checked all the conections. Lights come on bit the starter wont turn over. Please help

Just wondering if its the starter. Since its 4 degrees out would like some help before i crawl under there to remove it. Turn the key and hear the sarter click. New bat. Lights do not dim when key is turned. Also hear a click on the fire wall where the 3 little boxes are next to heater core.believe they say hella on them.

Probably the starter. I had the same symptoms and a new starter cured it.

When i removed the starter the smaller secondary wire was broke off. Obviously this is a problem. Can a lead be crimped on to the old lead or does it have to be soldered like the old one. Or do i have to buy the whole harness

Sure. Just splice a piece of new wire onto the old one, with a proper connector on the end. Crimp or solder- your choice.

I bought some 8 guage wire and new connectors. Can i jump a new wire from battery to starter selenoid? Or is it spliced into anything along that route. If so which terminal does it go to. Again this is the smaller of the two wires on starter
