98 2.2 sonoma no headlights wont start

2.2l 2 wheel drive and basic model It just died while driving no headlights and starter wont turn over. relay for headlights chatters when trying to start!Power is all good to the starter.It will turn over if you engage the wiper/washer? crazy! but that's what it does! Changed ignition switch no change. jumper wire from clutch switch nothing? IT Must be something Simple What am I overlooking?

Could it be the body control module doing this as it looks like ignition wire as well as headlights run into this.

Inspect your electrical distribution box (fuse box under the hood). Make sure there is no corrosion that is causing a short and that the power and ground lead wires are tight and damaged free.

Start with that and keep us posted.

Plenty of power in fuze box under hood.checked all grounds 1 runs from firewall to engine block and from bAttery to engine block as well as the body. Fuse box is power only that is fed from the battery and is only grounded by mounting location

Does any one have a wiring schematic for the 2.2 starter and ignition circuit
