we have a 98 gmc jimmy and under the hood where the fuel lines r theres a figure 8 like piece with a hole on each end where a screw goes to hold teh fuel lines tight, one of those screws wont stay in and now we have a gas leak, it dont poor out but it leaks n we r scared to drive it, it sat 2 days for us to figure out what was smellin like gas n it wont start now, we think its cuz theres no gas going to where it needs to cuz the screw messed up.
what is wrong?
the screw wont stay in n think the piece it goes into is stripped cuz 2 months ago a friend had to keep it on with jb weld but when checking to see if gas went through lines it wont go back on now, n jb weld didtn help this time. we took a pic of under the hood advanced auto says the fuel relay but when look online for image it so doesnt match so thats not it.
any ideas?
