98 GMC K2500 4x4 454ci, 7.4L V8 Suburban smog

Hello, i am posting to let everyone know about the issue i'm having with my truck, and how i'm handling the repairs.
My truck is a 1998 GMC Suburban 2500 4x4 with the 454ci engine, 7.4 L.
As GMC went through a bankruptcy, all the parts are no longer available, and whey won't fix my truck. The smog pump has gone bad. It took me a while to save, and i finally found one on Ebay. The pump itself cost me about $440.00. Now i will replace the battery, and get this baby to a shop asap. This is one bad ass truck, lots of power, drives smooth and comfortable, has all you need from a truck. Replacing the smog pump is just the start, i have to take it to a ASE certified place, they must redo the hoses and some other stuff before replacing the pump. I will let everyone know how goes it. Took it all off ? And what did you do after that ? I just installed the pump, and got an oil change, plus new batter/filter, ect. Going to a smog place tomorrow, hope it passes !

Passed all, everything except O2 sensors and Catalyc Converter. After this it will be official pass. Next ...

I just wanted to follow up on my status. I did place a universal catalyctic converter, and it did pass. As the smog pump was ordered, which was the most expensive part. It was $480 with no intsallation. So after everything, 2 years later, it still passes smog. I am most pleased with this truck. No issues 2 years later. Very cool, my mileage is at like 180,000.
