When the engine is cold or the outside temp is below 65 the engine will not fire. A squirt of starting fluid or gas in the throttle body allows start. Engine runs well on the road. Idle is quite and smooth. Replaced the fuel pressure valve. Fuel pump is a year old. Is some sensor causing the problem?

Start with the simple and check your ground wire to the fuel sending unit harness. A bad ground wire will cause a low voltage to your pump, resulting in low fuel pressure to get your engine to start.

If your fuel pressure falls below 60 PSI, the fuel system is in trouble. Most of the time the engine will not start, especially when its cold.:(

Good luck and keep us posted

Follow the wire harness from the tank to the frame and from there you should see where the ground wire goes to the cross member.

Keep us posted and be safe;)
