I have a 99 Jimmy that we just put a new motor in after it sat for a little over a year. Before it sat we replaced the fuel pump and some other things. Rod bearing broke and we didnt have the money at the time to fix it, so we waited a while and bought a brand new motor. So now that was put in and it isnt running right. It is very sluggish at take off and when you get to 40-55 mph it jerks. You can see the tach going up and down. If you really push on the gas it stops, just happens when you are trying to hold a steady speed.
We had a couple codes come up from the check engine, some o2 sensors needed replaced, did that and the problem is still there. Cleared it and the light came on again, still showing the po452...
is that for a pressure sensor on the fuel tank??
Would that sensor cause such jerking as a mentioned??
The garage is telling me they can't pinpoint what it is, could be a number of things.. told me to take it to a GM dealer and their maching would probably be able to pinpoint the problem...
IF anyone can help I would greatly appreicate it!! Thanks
