My A/C was blowing hot so I decide to buy the recharge can with a dial on top. As I was in the process of doing it I noticed my compressor would spin and then shut off and then a couple seconds later do the same thing. Is my compressor going bad or did i not put enough R-134a in what going on?

(i used that A/C pro stuff you but at Advance Auto)

thanks

it is cycleing because there is not enough freon pressure is the system
befor you try to refill the system i would replace the valve stem cores(that is the most likely area that it leaked from)
most auto stores sell the kit, the core are just like tire valve stems of a tire but differant and it requires a special long valve stem tool i had too replace my on 98 gmc every couple years now to fill the system
you have to jump a plug to keep the compresser running
the plug is on the ac dryer it is an aluminum cylinder about 4 inchs in diameter 12 inchs long with 2 pipes coming off of it and one two wire plug to it (located passanger side by the fire wall)
remove the plug from the dryer and jump the two wires in the plug that will foul the system into thinking it has enough pressure to keep the compressure running my truck took at lease two cans of freon to fill it it did better with more
follow the instructions of the freon fill kit
