ABS/Brake lights.....

I have a 2001 Seirra 1500Z71. My abs and brake lights are on. The computer says front left speed sensor. I replaced it with no luck on the lights going off. I replaced it again thinking possibly a defective part but still no luck. I'm thinking of taking a stab in the dark and getting an ABS control module from the junkyard but I dont know if they are all the same for my model years and if not what to look for so i get the right one. Any other suggestions to solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...

Before you go off and start replacing the ABS module, start with the cheaper fix and try replacing the ABD wire leads and harness in question.
