My 2004 3500 ...the ABS comes on at very low speed, near stopped. I have been told by some cleaning sensor mounting surface will cure the problem. Others have said you must replace the bearing/ sensor unit completely. Any help on this issue is much appreciated!

Also, I have been told there is/was a recall on this problem...fact or fiction??

No recall, just a can of brake parts cleaner to clean the sensor and speed ring on the inner hubs. Inspect your abs sensors at the inner front hubs and replace any corrosion damaged wire leads and you should be fine.

Keep us posted and make sure the sensor does not rub against the speed ring or its to far from the ring that it can't read it. Stay safe.
