ABS Light '00 Jimmy SLT

Hi, tonight I was driving through some snow drifts for fun when I stupidly went too slow at one point and got stuck. After some wheel slip the abs light comes on.

After a little more time of doing my first "I'm by myself and my vehicle is stuck", I let some air out of the tires and rocked the jimmy a few times and I was free. After about 50 feet of driving the abs light turned off and never came on again as I drove home (4 miles). Was this a wheel slip indicator or something else?

Nope, just some dirt or the ABS sensor could not read the speed ring on the front hub. It's common to happen if the sensor is pushed out to far from the speed ring. Easy fix if it happens again by readjusting the ABS sensor, cleaning the area with brake parts cleaner and replacing any damaged parts like the wire leads. Would not worry about it if it does not happen again. Keep life simple by not fixing anything not broken LOL. Be safe friend and keep having fun.
