Hi everyone,
The AC on my 2001 Sierra started blowing the pressure relief valve so I replaced the orifice tube. The compressor was working fine when this happened. After I replaced the orifice tube, cranked the engine, and turned the AC on high in order to recharge it, I noticed the compressor is not cycling on at all. During the repair I touched no wiring or anything else. Simply separated the line and replaced the tube.
Did I miss something during the replacement process or is the problem unrelated and just happened to occur at this time?

Thanks,
Mark

you opened the system so now there is no pressure in the system
the clutch will not lock up on the compressor
disconnect the two wires on the pressure switch and connect them to each other that will tell the system there is pressure
if you hook up the Freon can and open the valve it will fill the system slowly
it will accept Freon faster if the compressor is turning
the switch is on the a/c drier
Pete

Thank you sir! I did as you said and worked perfectly!
