Here is where my issue begins I posted this on another forum with no results.

Hi All:
New guy with Envoy. Have only had it for a month or so now. I think there may be an issue with the air suspension. I loaded about 100lbs of equipment in the back and when I came out the next morning it was riding low (i think all the way down). I didn't think anything of it as it rose up when I started the truck.

On the other hand I had the same equipment in there a few days later and had slammed on the brakes to avoid hitting a deer on the highway and noticed that the back end had dropped. It was riding low and all the way down. I had to turn on the ignition about 2-3 times and move the truck a bit for the bags to inflate and the truck to return to normal height.

AND the next day I was driving and had to hit the brakes hard (although not as hard as avoiding the deer) and the back end again dropped down all the way which caused me to pull over at a gas station and turn off and on the engine 2 times and move the vehicle for the bags to return to normal.

one more... I loaded about another 100lbs (200 +/- now) and parked on a slight angle on the grass and noticed the back end had dropped down again. I started the engine and drove it around the driveway and it returned to normal.

I can't figure if this would be cause by a sensor, bag deterioration or something else. When I start the engine the compressor does come on but doesn't inflate all the way (only stays on for a minute or less) which is why I start it a couple times and drive it a short distance.

Anyone have any ideas? What would happen if I drove it with no air for any amount of time? I am trying to determine if this is something the dealership should repair under the lemon law warranty and want to do some research before I bring it to them as a concern.

I did pull the fuse for a bit to see if would reset something. It has not done it since (that I noticed anyway) I am back to the 1st 100lbs of equipment in the back.

Thanks In advance!!

Here is my update

OK So I have an update to ad.

I took the Envoy to the dealer that sold it to me to have the air suspension looked at since it was under warranty. His guy said that the rear passenger bag had a pin hole leak in it. So rather than try to fix it he said it would be better to replace and so he ordered the parts and I went back for it to be replaced.

Even with the replacement it drops down every night all the way on both sides.

NOW here is my question.

Could it be the colder weather? It just started getting colder at night here in Massachusetts and every morning since I had the bag replaced I have come out to find the back end dropped all the way down.

It does pump up to normal when I turn the key on and stays up all day while driving or sitting.

Any help would be great. I did see on the invoice that it was a used bag so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Thanks!!

The only time my truck did this was when I had a bad compressor, now obviously yours seems to be working fine because it will level out the vehicle, but there is something wrong.

These trucks level themselves out when needed so if yours is totally deflating then you have an issue, I've talked with people who have had the issue you describe and live with it but I would think the bags deflating just because of hard braking would be dangerous.

Sounds to me like you still have a leak somewhere... perhaps the compressor is failing.. I had to replace mine, pretty simple job but costly... get it straightened out before the warranty runs out.
