Okay guys/gals I need a little help.
My little red 'airbag' light came on a while ago on the dash. I took it to my local GMC dealer to get an estimate on fixing the problem. They came back with a quote over $500 for my '08 2500HD 4X4, 6.0 gas motor truck to replace a bad sensor. I did some research on the quote which indicated a code of 'B0091 Air Bag Front Impact Sensor' and from what I read this is a simple two wire sensor which should take around a hour to change. I called my dealer to question the quote and he told me the sensor is over $350 and shop labor was 1.3 hours. All this added to their quote of $500+. Does anyone have an idea where this sensor is located and a part number for it that I could look up? If it is as easy to change as I read I would like to tackle this project myself...
