I work for a small bus manufacturer in Australia and we are looking to change the position of our dipstick to improve access.
Apparently most GMC trucks in the US using the Allison 2200 series tranny have a dipstick that goes up to the rear of the engine.
Is someone here able to confirm that is the case?
More importantly, is someone able to tell me the part number/s for them?

(FYI: Allison have not been able to assist us here - even though we are considered an OEM. Basically we have been told that there are no other options and that we have to continue to use the dipstick configuration we have. Which unfortunately requires a hatch in the floor of the vehicle for easy access).
