Any advice?URGENT

I'm having some confusion about how I'm going to go about registering this thing.I spoke to my DMV a little and understand that Rhode Island cars over 20 years old dont have/require a title.Connecticut understands that as well.So when I go to my connecticut DMV with the registration, bill of sale, and plates off my old truck;what are they going to do.Am I going to have to bring it through emissions even though it isn't due in RI for another 6 months?
If that's the case in sort of screwed..I have a straight pipe/no cat..
Any ideas or even knowledge of this dilemma I'm in?It'd work out great if they didn't have me go to emissions until it was due in July.I wouldn't even go and just accept he 20$ fee.Then buy the time my plates expire the truck will be 25 years old -Exempt-! I doubt it'll work out that easily though.

Pick up a Universal Catalytic converter from http://www.magnaflow.com/02product.asp. Think there sold at Parts Source and Auto Zone and not that expensive. That should help you pass your emission issues with your local DMV.
