Hi all. I'm a noob to the site but am floating around elsewhere.

I believe I've narrowed down my choice but I won't buy before I can manage a test drive into a similar model.

So, if you own a 2500 2011 HD post up with your comments, good, bad, ugly, whatever they might be!

I'm ready to order a 2500 WT 4x4 ext cab 6'6" bed for bush/cottage and landscape work. With the 6.0L gas engine and 6 speed auto of course. The diesel is too complicated and a V8 diesel just doesn't appeal to me. Let alone it's a nearly $12K option here in Canada and it adds a good 800lbs to the front end, which I also don't need.

With current incentives GM is the better choice out of the Big3. My old C1500 treated me well during the time I owned it and I had no complaints.

So, post your feedback as I'm curious in getting some real world info from current owners. Thanks.

Do you have any previous expeiiance with the older silverodo and seirra( 07 -09).?? If so Its beefy. The new frame is crazy huge!. Much better for towing and safety. Mileage is better to. New front grill. I have a diesel and Its worth it. The new diesels are quieter with more power. Its an over all better truck then older models.

Duramax option for some

Sierra02 is correct. Also, I highly recommend the Duramax for overall value if you plan on keeping the truck a long time. You will get back the additional costs when you sell. If your use is a lot of stop and starts, then the gasser is better. My opinion, others may see it different.

I have no negative comments on my 2011 Denali 2500 HD CC 4X4 Duramax, except the cab storage is a little short of room and GM still does not put an assist handle for getting in for the driver...duh.

Positive, of course the Duramax/Allison combo, 14mpg around town and 20mpg @ 70mph on the hiway. The Navigation ia awesome. Build quality is very good and it drives like a tank, very firm, GM really beefed the HD for 2011.

Did I forget to say this 3 plus ton truck hauls ass.
