Just wanted to share a bad experience with everyone in the hopes that it will help you avoid making the same mistake I did. I have had multiple sets of Eagle Alloy wheels without having any problems. My most recent purchase however has been a disaster.
The pictures attached were taken 8 months after these wheels were purchased new and they had been on my garage kept vehicle for less than 7k miles. These wheels have come in contact with nothing more than rain, brake dust, basic road residue (no salt from winter road issues at all).
I contacted American Eagle Wheel Corporation's customer service area and ended up in e mail contact with supposedly their person in charge of customer service. I explained my situation to him and he had me take the vehicle to a local distributor of their wheels for inspection. He then e mailed me back to tell me that the problem was pitting and and not chrome separation and therefore not covered by their warranty. I sent him the same pictures I have attached below to dispute this claim but he refuses to respond or acknowledge the fact. Since he is over customer service I have found no way to get to a higher level than him to discuss further with anyone at American Eagle.
I went on their website to read the details of their warranty and couldn't believe how customer unfriendly it is. I have copied the part below that basically explains that you are SOL if you have any problem with one of their products.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to try and let everyone know what an awful company this is so that you don't give them any of your hard earned money.
EAGLE/MSR/BOSS/USAFORGED does not cover expenses
incurred for freight, removal and or installation labor, loss of
vehicle use, loss of time, inconvenience or any other
consequential damages. If you have or suspect that you have
a defective product, return the product, freight prepaid, to the
selling outlet or to an EAGLE/MSR/BOSS/USAFORGED
distribution outlet, complete with your name, address,
telephone number, place and date of purchase, and
description of the defect. We will, upon receipt of the
product, examine the product, and notify you of our findings.
If defective and covered under this warranty, we will ship
replacement product to you, freight prepaid. If not defective,
or the condition is not covered by this warranty we will
return the product to you as received, freight collect.
