I recently got my back brakes done on my 04 sierra and now the brakes squeal. I have took it back 3times now and they still squeal. First they said it was rust, then they replaced the pads. Now I think they are going to try the rotors. This is really frustrating. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks.

well if they did the brakes with out doing rotors and hardware then your ASKING for brake noise.

Finsh the job and all should be fine

Or if they did replace all the pads and rotors did they use top of the line after market parts or made in china parts. Makes a differnce.

They replaced everything the first time. It was a dealership that did the brakes so who knows what they put on it.

I had the very same thing happen on my 2002 GMC. New rotors and pads all 4 wheels and the brakes squealed real bad. GMC dealer did the work. I complained and the service manager took on ride with me and said I recommend we go with ceramic brake pads. I will only charge you the difference between reg AC Delco that we put on and AC Delco Ake Bono ceramic pads and no labor. New pads and never heard any noise ever again.

And with the cheaper pads you are constantly going to be fighting brake dust all over your wheels too, where the more expensive ones you won't deal with near as much.
