Brake problem on my 08 Canyon

I have 08 Canyon and when I first leave in the mornings the brakes will put you through the windshield if you don't have seat belt on. After sitting for 2 days and rain put it in gear and it would not move acted like the brakes were locked up. I have had it in the dealership 3 times and all they do is clean and adjust and it works for about a week and then back to what I had. Does anybody have an answer?

I'm having the exact same issue with my 05. If it sits for over 4-5 hours the brakes squeal on takeoff and if it has set overnight or really damp out the front brakes lock up and hello steering wheel. The condition clears after driving for 3-4 minutes. New rotors, new pads. Not sure where to go next. If the PM you received is useful I'd like to get that information or anything else that anyone might have.

Doubt it's a rotor or pad issue, probably something sticking in the ABS system. The brake lines are pressurized when you push on the brake pedal, but should return to zero pressure when you remove your foot from the pedal.

Since there are no check valves in the calipers or lines to hold residual pressure, the problem has to be upstream, in either the master cylinder or (more likely) the ABS system. Maybe whatever is acting like a check valve in the ABS loosens up after you've been driving awhile, which would explain why it's worse when cold in the morning.
