i dont think any repair is 'popular', - i would rather NoT have to do repairs, but 2nd gen s10/s15's have several flaws that are prone to needing attention on 4x4 models, ~ let's just say the whole front end, -lower ball joints, tie rods, idler arm, wheel bearings and of course CVjoints, - watch your shocks -May not sound important but as those fail they force the rest to fail, 4.3- and trans etc. as long as you dont abuse your stuff and frequently check fluids, change oil should run a long time,
all cars/trucks have a certain level of DESIGNED OBSOLESCENCE, everything is designed to fail and need replaced so you have to buy parts, so someone can import / or make them so you take your truck to the shop ... (circle of life ) feel like a mouse?
