i have a 1999 gmc envoy and i have replaced the alternator and the battery, it will turn over with the new battery but will drain and kill the engine, it will run after a charge and/or a boost, if i unhook the positive terminal when it is running it will kill the engine, my new alternator won't charge the battery and the gage is very low, how can i resolve this?

I'd have the new alternator tested, especially if it's a rebuilt to see if it's puuting out anything.

Have your Alternator tested and your battery, a new alternator can also have gone bad from a bad voltage regulator.

Good luck and keep us posted. ;)

thanks
