Hi folks,

I've got a question. I own a 4X4 2015 Sierra SLE with the 5.3 engine with 47k on the engine and the issue I'm having is with the battery. I replaced the original A/C Delco battery with another A/C Delco battery nearly 3 years ago and it's started acting up not holding voltage and causing the usual electronics oddities. And for the record less than a month ago it went completely dead in a day so I got it going and took it into the local GM dealer who ran all the tests on it. They said my alternator is supposedly OK, they said the battery was fine and they said the parasitic draw was .6 of a milli amp which is normal. So apparently everything "was" okay but like I said now i'm starting to see the battery gremlins in the electronic systems.

So back to the question. I'm not going with an A/C Delco battery again and was wondering if anyone has used the considerably less expensive Costco batteries on their 14-18 Sierra's and did they work properly?

Any help or experiences with the Costco batteries would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I've used the Interstate batteries from Costco in other vehicles and have gotten great life out of them. I just replaced the 5 year old OEM battery in my Sierra with a DuraLast Gold battery from AutoZone. $199 with tax.

Thanks, I think I'll give the Costco Batteries a shot since the Kirkland brand is actually Duralast and given nobody responded with any horrifying disasters from putting them in their trucks I fell better. Besides $179.99 is considerably cheaper than the Dealerships AC Delco at 349.99.
