The dash lights and radio stay on when the ignition is turned off and the door is not opened on my 2006 Sierra. I know the radio is supposed to stay on for a 10 minute delay or until the door is opened, but are the dash lights suppose to stay on as well?

When I turn off my truck. My headlights turn off (automatic setting), also putting it in park, and all dash lights turn off and radio and radio lights stay on. When I take the key out the over head light comes on. Opening the door turns off the radio. Locking the truck turns off the over head light. After 20 min everything goes to sleep (any hard wired acc ex: radar dector and led's installed

miserman, if you could send me your VIN I could look into researching this for you to see if that is how your truck should be acting. I hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks ,that's what I needed to know. There's something wrong with mine then. The dash lights should go out when the ignition is turned off. Maybe the light switch itself needs replaced?
