We are looking at trading in our 2009 Acadia for a 2012 or 2013 Yukon XL. Have had nothing but problems with the acadia. It's been inthe shop about every four months for the two years we've owned it. Are the post bailout Yukons better or will we be in for another lemon

Mine is a 2010, and I love it.

Three things annoy me though.

1) I can't leave it in the accessory position for more than maybe 5 minutes without getting a warning of low battery. Doesn't seem right, but dealership says it is what it is.

2) Bluetooth doesn't work with my particular cell phone. No explanation available. GM's website says it has been validated and works. My experience is different. GM says testing is imperfect and doesn't catch everything. Again, it is what it is.

3) The USB iPod interface with the radio doesn't display the entire content of the iPod. Seems there is a space/content limitation in that interface, and I exceed it with too much content on my iPod.

But the Yukon drives great, performs great, tows great, is spacious and comfortable.

I have had only good experiences with the GM rear wheel drive platforms. I currently own a GMT 900, 2013 Yukon Denali.

I do not like the front wheel drive platforms, and given a choice, I would never purchase a vehicle which has one.

I had a 01 Tahoe for 13years then bought a used 40,000 miles 08 Saturn Outlook XR.
What a piece of crap.(water pump, air conditioning, steering, uncomfortable seats no power hard on fuel)
I sold it 2 months later and now have 11 Denali.
First class all the way, never again will stray.

I love my 2012 Yukon. I bought it this past Feb. So it has been about 4 1/2 months. I too owned an Acadia(2011) and had the same problem. It was in for service about every 4 months with major issues. I dumped it and traded it in for the Yukon. Best thing I did. Peace of mind.

I thought that you will post photos to showoff
