Well, I just dropped the fuel tank on my 1989 GMC Burb in hopes of getting the gas gauge working again. I've did it several times on a 1997 chevy pickup...and everything looks similar. The one question I have is that I noticed one line that comes out of the sending unit attaches to a small vacuum regulator and then continues on. What is the purpose of this regulator, and should I replace it while I have the tank dropped?
