I have a 97 GMC Savanna, recently replaced the heat control valve and thermostat. The engine will not get to temperature. Before I replaced the thermostat, the gauge registered around 100, then afterwards it goes to somewhere between the 100 and hovering around the big line at I guess about 150 on the gauge. I cannot get heat. I'm pretty sure all the heater switches and controls on the dash work fine. I finally took a chance to open the radiator cap after running the engine for a while, and the coolant is cold. I also felt the hoses going to the heater and they both feel hot somewhat. It's our only transportation. Help please.

Thanks

I flushed the heater core tonight, not much better. I could sure use some suggestions. Thanks
