Engine surge with A/C on.

Have been having a few problems with my 2002 Envoy. The latest is this surgeing issue. I find now that the engine surges 300 rpm every 2 or 3 seconds consistantely while the Air conditioner is on. I had the freon level checked recently and it was good. The A/C works fine and the air is cold. My first thought is that the compressor is kicking in and out but I don't understand why it would be doing that if the air is coming out cold. The surge stops when I turn the A/C off. Any thoughts??

The Fix

throttle body cleaner it works, Spray the throttle body with cleaner, the engine will stall while using it but it will do the trick

What did you find out with your envoy i am having the same problem and i am thinking it is the idle air control module which is part of the throttle body and that is very expensive. Please help

I am not aware of this problem and you have to inspect your vehicle and for that purpose you should go to any car care center to identify the issue and solve it.
