Flickering lights?

I have a 2000 Sierra and it just started to flicker the lights inside the cab and the headlights. Is that a sign of needing a new batt or alt? The alternator is the original and I am running a stereo, but not that big on power. The battery was replaced about a year ago so I dont think its that.

You can have your alternator and battery load tested at Auto Zone free of charge. The other issue would be the ground wire at the battery may need to be replaced with a new one or the connection my be corroded at the frame. Clean up the connection if it looks corroded or replace the ground wire if it's too corroded.
