Front end noise

Hey all,
New to forum. I have recently purchased an 05 Sierra with 89k on it. The truck is in great shape and has ran very well. It now has 92k on it, and the other day I was on my way home from work when I first started hearing a clicking noise in the front end. I was traveling at about fifteen miles an hr (going thru town) when it made it's presence known. It isn't a constant noise by any means. By that I mean it doesn't happen every time I slow down or accelerate. It was very obvious this morning when I left for work, it was to point where I thought something was gonna give. But then it just stopped! Again I was traveling at a very low speed. It comes and goes so I have no idea. Seems to be on the left side only.. Any feedback would be great. Thanks in advance.

Check for a stone in tire . Unless you ruled that out. Let us know what you find. Good luck.

Not a stone, way to loud for that. Sounds mechanical to me. My dad who is a diesel mechanic says to let it go till it is constant so we can pin point the issue. I am just worried something is gonna break and cause unwanted damage. Plan on looking at brakes and such this weekend, if anyone has any other suggestions let me hear them please.

Is it a 4X4? If it is, I would check the front CV axles for damage to the boots. The U-joints in the CV axles can cause a clicking noise if they loose their lubrication.

Turns out the wheel bearing was shot! $221.00 out the door. Could have been worse I guess...
