Has anyone had experience with this application, if so what kind kit should I be looking for. Or is this a bad idea by changing factory suspension?

bah hum bug. Money grab! Why didn't they just build the ckskers level in the first place!

Pops has a lvling kit in his 2010 Sierra. Looks good, didn't effect anything suspension/steering wise.

I put one on my 08 all terrain z71. Didn't affect the ride at all. Looks alot better than the "rake" stock look imo. I can't remember the brand though!!
It was the donut spacer type that you put on top of the coil spring.

I put on a 2.5" level kit from Top Gun Customz. The kit was fairly cheap and it looks a lot better than factory, didn't change the ride at all. The mech at the dealership has the RC 2" kit on his and he likes it as well. The Top Gun kit is a spacer that goes on the top of the strut and one that goes on the bottom, the RC kit is just the part that goes on the bottom. It didn't affect the ride at all and makes it look like it's actually a 4x4 truck. This was on a 2012 Sierra SLE Z71 4x4.

And just in case you're interested, that 2.5" kit didn't knock the cv angles out of whack very much at all, they aren't that far off from the original geometry.

So I take it you guys do not haul anything? I recently seen a Silverado that the guy apparently put one of these front lift kits. He was low in the rear with just a quad in the back of his truck. There were several others (must have been his freinds) driving down the road with ATV's in their trucks too but his was looking about 1-2 ft lower in the rear and it would appear the front end lift was the reason. The other trucks leveled out with the ATV in the box. To be honest, its looked terrible but I am sure he loves it, big tires and all.

Actually, I haul plenty. I tow a boat and regularly haul loads of fire wood and furniture along with other debree as well as a lawn tractor and generator. Nothing heavy duty, that's why I have a light duty truck. I forgot to mention that I did more than just the level. I took the 2" blocks from my 2003 Silverado and installed them on my new truck, replacing the 1.25" blocks, so my truck isn't actually level by the measurements. I do have some rake, it just isn't the 2.5" to 3" rake that most have. So mine doesn't sag, I agree I don't care for the sag that you get from a front level alone, don't think it looks good at all. I also don't want a 4" or 6" lift, while it might look good, the functionality of a stock height truck is what I need. It takes a lot more weight for my trucks rear to drop 2.5" or 3" from hauling something, more weight than I usually haul so for me it works. Can't speak for others.
