front passenger window occasionally stops

Hello I've got a 2006 canyon crew cab and the front passenger window sometimes stops working, I can get it to work again if I open and close the door. Thinking it's a loose wire, any other opinions?
 
most likly it's the window motor . Bad brush and when you close the door it make contact and allows it to work.

It’s been a few days since you posted this so I was wondering if you’ve made any progress regarding this issue. Have you taken it to the dealership at all or are you planning to attend to this on your own?

I went to the dealership today and even though I bought the truck in May 2011 (used) they said they wouldn't cover it. So I'm gonna try and find a motor online somewhere and see if I can replace it myself.:mad:

I'm not certain if it was or not. I'll have to check out my paper work. But I did find multiple sites with replacement motors and power regulators along with tips to try before replacing.

Hello Laura,
I've checked my paper work and can't find anywhere where it says it's a GM Certified Used Vehicle. will have to go back to the dealership and complain. not only is the window messed up but it also needs a front end alignment, which they've already said was not covered.:mad::mad::mad:
 
Let me know how it goes at the dealership this time and keep me updated on your progress there.

Hello Laura,
Well, I just left the Waxahachie Autoplex dealership and they said that the truck is not GM Certified and because I didn't purchase extended warranty they won't cover the window either. So, looks like I'll be fixing the window myself, just hope that it's the motor and not the switch and or both.
 
This happens to me too.

This problem happens to me as well. Currently it is working.
