In June I purchased a 1500 Sierra Crew cab and was loving it up until about 4,000 miles. I'm now at 9,500 miles and every time I drive it I'm frustrated with the rattling noise I hear. Sounds as if the noise is coming from up under the upper dash near the windshield on the drivers side. Every time I go down a less than smooth road (very common in Michigan) I hear it. I fear that it is something that can't be fixed or if they tear it apart to fix it they will cause more problems later on. I previously owned a Ford F150 for 10 years and 120,000 miles, drove the same roads, and never experienced this issue or any loose rattling issue. If this happens only 4,000 miles into a new vehicle what is next...

hey i feel your pain my truck is new and from the day i drove it off the lot every other day i hear a sound much the same as what you saying. it comes and goes not really based on road by based on how the truck is parked or how level the ground is..

mecac is your tk under warranty?
If so take it back dash work is not hard and a good tech will fix it with no other problems.

i fix dash noises all the time easy work.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're having mecac. What I would suggest is having it looked over by your dealer. If they're unable to resolve the issue properly message me and I will do what I can to help you with this. I hope it's a quick and simple fix and you can get back to enjoying your truck!
