I have a fuel injector that is plugged.
Do I need to change the whole spider?

I'm assuming you have a 4.3 vortex v6 since you are in sonoma & said "spider"

If it's got miles on it (mine had 141k) and try to service them, the plastic may be so hard that it breaks.

The injector with tube & poppet may be around $80 - I got the whole delphi (oem) spider (6 injectors) upgrade with bracket & instructions for $182 from amazon - to my door in the morn of the 3rd day.

Mine works great.

Other sites had the same part # for $300

I've posted this recently

$20 or so for upper manifold gaskets

luck,greg

i am all for repairing parts. but with this part. the best bet is new save the old spider maybe you will need injector off it in the future. take the bad one off and throw it out. if money is an obstacle try cleaning,
set ends in trans fluid 3 at a time and let soak. hit with can o intake cleaner...you might get lucky but probably not.

if you use an injector cleaner every 3rd /4th tank the injectors last longer without clogging, with the junk thats put in most fuels these days the injectors get clogged easily. I find a botle of Lucas gas treatment once a month keeps both my sonoma and my C70 volvo injectors clear.
if your trying to unclog them out of the engine soak them in the gas treatment a few days and they should clear also.
