Hey guys. Quick question. I tried searching, but it's a problem with too many common words I think.
My dad's truck, a 2000 Sierra 6.0L is having random issues where the fuel pump doesn't work. Keeps happening at the same store... I tell him to stop going there... but you know how old people are. He comes out, and it just cranks. And he can't hear the pump. If he waits like 15 min, it starts again, and then will get him home, and start every time he tries.
He's always owned GM trucks, and we're fairly familiar with a dead fuel pump. But this is baffling. I want to order a pump, but I go on rockauto, and they have two. Module TCU, and Module TCF.
The truck is running, now. And I don't want to drop the tank just to check which module he needs. He can't afford to waste time, as he needs it for work. And I'd lend him my F-150, but it's broken. Shocker, I know... haha.
How can I tell which module his truck has? Or is that something to worry about?
Thanks in advance.
Aaron.
