fuel pump question

Will a fuel pump from a 2002 sonoma crew cab fit in a fuel tank from a 1996 blazer 4 door? I have to replace my fuel tank and, I'm sure most of you know this, they no longer manufacture tanks for the crew cab. After some time it looks like the tank from a 1996 4 door blazer will fit, with some extension of all the existing lines. I just need to know if the sonoma pump will fit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you going to re-use your fuel pump? Why don't you get a new one for a 96 blazer? Basically match the pump to the tank? Wondering where you've been looking for a fuel tank for the 02 crew cab? I have an 02 Crew Cab and have been looking for a larger tank. All I find in my searches is OEM tanks.
