Fuse # 24 Trans ( 97 jimmy )

Was trying to find whats been running the battery down ,
threw a test light on it and started pulling fuses .

Get to the last one and Bingo ! , light goes out.
I'm like " good " ," but what does it do " I say to self ?
So like the dumbass I am , I crank it without the fuse
to see if I can figure it out . I sorta did NOT .
The jimmy CLUNKED into gear and took extra power to
get moving .
I put the fuse back in and ( you guessed it ) , it still takes
extra power to get going , and it threw the " service engine " light .

With the vehicle off ,when putting the fuse back in ,
you can hear a distinctive click coming from the dash just left
of the steering wheel .
Note - until now , I haven't had any shifting issues , just the draw down.

Any insight or ideas are ( as usual ) appreciated.

Since the engine light is on maybe a diagnostic scan at autozone or O'riellys will give you more insight, at least halfway track the problem

This a.m. , I disconnected @ reconnected the battery on
the off-chance it might clear the code .
It did .
And , my jimmy is shifting properly .
Go figure.

Still , if anyone knows how the system is wired after
leaving fuse 24 I'd appreciate it.
