I'm new to this forum thing and hoping for some advice. I've got 6 kids and we want to buy the 12 passenger GMC savana. We've out grown the mini van and the truck so it's full-size van time! When ever we travel, for holidays etc, we need to tow a trailer, (holiday trailer or quad trailer),so my dilemma is buying the diesel or gas model? Any suggestions? Does anyone know the fuel mileage difference? The price difference is about $12,000.00!! We will drive the van daily so is the diesel to much?
The big reason I'm asking is because I just don't want to a vehicle that is awesome to drive for the 20% of the year we pull a trailer and, front end heavy, and noisy, for the other 80%. But if the fuel mileage is horrible in the gas 6.0 Liter then diesel it is. Any suggestions? I'm leaning to the diesel, cause I just got the new 2013 HD Denali diesel and it's awesome!
