I have a 2000 gmc jimmy and the gas gauge and voltage gauge are not working properly, the gas gauge goes from empty to full and back and forth, and the voltage gauge will go down and then back up to 14, any help out there.
i would check the wiring, in the jimmys the needle for the gas is controlled by a computer between the gas tank and the gauge which tells it what to read or where it should be at, it could be as simple as checking fuses to see if they are blown or not, if not then next step check the wires depending on how skilled you are back probing works great
