GMC Acadia 2013 noise from the engine bay

I've been hearing noises coming from the engine bay.

I have been having AC issues, but the dealership only replaced a tensioner, rear evaporator, and AC blower. I have a feeling that it could be the AC compressor going out.

The noise is not always present. It occurs more often with AC and/or air recirculate turned on, but I have noticed it when they were turned off.

If it makes the noise with the AC off, then it's not the compressor. But it could be the compressor clutch.

Yea, it is not just with the AC turned on. A couple days ago, the noise was pretty loud, then I turned the AC on and the noise went away (possibly because the clutch started rotating with the AC instead of grinding against it).

This was fixed by the dealership by replacing the AC compressor.
