Hello everyone!
I need Acadia's owner's help and I hope that's the place to get one.
Here is the deal, I actually have a Dodge Magnum, but I want to switch stock headlights to projectors ones, but since there aren's good replacement on the market, I've decided to retrofit stock ones. I liked GMC Acadia's headlights and they look similar in shape (at least to me). I've bought a pair of damaged headlights off eBay and now I'm going to start the process.
But the problem is I DON'T KNOW how stock Acadia's headlights work. I mean I don't know how many modes/phases they have? I need to know this info to know how should I contact elements that I will use to my Magnum. Since I'm going big on this project and going not just to take projectors out, but put the partial housing of Acadia's headlights in Magnum's ones, this info is VERY important.
I'll try to explane what I need on example what modes/phases Magnum's headlight has:
1) key is in, park brake is on, everything is off;
2) key is in, park brake is off, hi-beams are on (about 10% of reg. hi-beams);
3a) key is on, park brake is on, switch turned to "I", small marker light on;
3b) key is on, park brake is off, switch turned to "I", small marker light and hi-beams (same 10%) are on;
4) key is on, park brake is off, switch turned to "///0"(lo-beams), small marker light and lo-beams are on;
5) key is on, park brake is off, switch turned to "///0" and "=0" (hi-beams) switch pulled, small marker light on, lo- and hi-beams are on.
Also it seems to me Acadia's lights' elements moves side-to-side when steering wheel turns, is that right?
Looking forward to get some help.
p.s: Sorry if make some mistakes in text, I'm from Russia and live in Moscow. And that's also an explanation why I have to ask on forum, cause here we have only few Acadia's and the last one I've seen back in 2009.
Thank you!
