Gmc canyon or chevy colorado?

Soooo for a while now I've been asking my dad for a vehicle (I'm 17) anyways... He said as soon as he got his new job he'd get me a midsize truck. I personally like the Nissan frontier but my dad only likes gm vehicles so it pretty much comes between the canyon and the Colorado. Which is better in your opinion? I like the look of the Colorado but I dunno which is more reliable?

Btw my dad is a retired chief master sergeant, and got a new job that pays even better than that. I wasn't implying that we were broke when I said "when he gets his new job". It's gonna be used too.

Both are the same trucks other then trim package and front face. You may want to find your self a Sonoma or S10 pick up as your first mid size truck. The parts are easier to find and there price used is much more pleasing.

Remember it's your first truck and you will be working on it, good luck and hope things work out with you on which ever truck you get.
