Okay so my Jimmy was shifting great (like people always said how nice it shifted) then it literally went to terrible in one shift. It will not shift or disengage unless you bump it out of gear or force it into gear. Is there something simple that could have gone out to cause this?

Transmission does not shift automatically, only manually. At worst is to Swap in a known-good PCM, but start with checking the wiring harness to the transmission on the passenger side by the catalytic converter area, also check other sensors such as VSS and TPS.
Keep us posted and also check your fuses for any one that has gone bad, your transmission is electronic and there is a fuse for it. You can also take it to a Auto Zone and have them scan your Jimmy for any DTC codes that is related to the transmission.
